OUR CSA PROGRAM FOR THE 2022 SEASON IS OPEN!

Vegetable Baskets: What is Community Shared Agriculture (CSA)?

A CSA member is someone who is purchasing and consuming “a share” of the vegetables grown by a farmer through the growing season!
CSA members share in the bounty of our farm and celebrate eating with the seasons!
Members share some of the risks associated with each season.  For example if there is a new insect pest that damages one of our crop, your shares would contain less of that vegetable.  However, usually on diverse farms like ours there is another vegetable that produces more than expected and will make up for any loss.
As a member you pay your membership before the season begins so that we, the farmers, can use the money to buy seeds and the supplies we will need to grow your vegetables.  The best time to sign up is before the growing season starts (January-April) when the farmers have more time to do administrative tasks, and are buying supplies for the season.  However, we accept members until our program is full.
CSA members will enjoy free home delivery in Brockville or they can pick up a selection of in-season fresh organically grown vegetables from our farm  every week from June until end of October.
What's in a share?
  • 22 weekly pick ups of fresh, organically grown vegetables, from June until the end of October.
  • 5 or more different seasonal vegetable items per week. We grow 30+ type of vegetables including our signature salad blend and other staples, such as tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, kale, beets, broccoli, squash, garlic, cucumbers, herbs and more. We will  mix things up as much as we can, to make sure you won't have to eat the exact same vegetables week after week.
